Our highly trained dental hygienists take great care to balance effective care with patient comfort. Most patients report an easily tolerated experience without any real pain. However, patients with irritated or sensitive gums may need some numbing to keep it pain-free. Most cleanings take about 30 to 60 minutes. The entire time, you can sit back and relax in our comfortable chairs and watch streaming series on our big-screen televisions. While we recommend patients come back every 6 months for another exam, this is just the average. Patients with early signs of gum disease may need up to 4 treatments each year, while other patients may need less frequent visits. Still, having routine dental care at least twice per year is never a bad start, allowing your teeth to regularly be checked and cleaned to stay at their best.
